I have very little in common with Prime Minister Stephen Harper. For instance, I have a spine. Secondly, I don’t waffle unless it’s for breakfast. Thirdly, I have principles, not just in the schools.

Though, the one thing we seem to both agree on is, Arctic Soveriegnty (sp) and it’s importance to Canadians now and in the future as the Arctic melts away and the basin leaves us with nothing but a gluttonous amount of minerals, oil, gases and all other things that will help destoy the earth and make us rich at the same time.

If still, after my saying so, you aren’t convinced that the Arctic is going to become a major battleground over resources in the future – let me make just one more point. Even the Danes are fighting.

That’s right. It’s very much expected on our part to see Russia and the USA claiming territorial rights over the north with Siberia and Alaska, but really, now even Denmark is getting in on it by saying their ownership of Greenland (a land that is becoming increasingly greener as the years pass, interestingly enough) also precludes them to Hans Island and the rest of our north.

Enough is enough. That’s our ice.
